LG Action Sports Championships in Seattle

The LG Action Sports Championships is coming to the Emerald City October 31 through November 2, 2008. Seattle’s Key Arena will host the best athletes of BMX, Freestyle Motocross, Skateboarding and Inline Skating as they vie for the LG Action Sports World Championship titles and a piece of the $600,000 prize purse.

2008 Malibu Pro Team Challenge Champions - Team Hyperlite

After two days of fun, sun, beautiful scenery, killer conditions and insane riding, the 2nd Annual Malibu Pro Team Challenge is a wrap. Congratulations to 2008 Champions, Team Hyperlite, who backed up last years win with a repeat performance. They retain the Malibu Cup and the names of Erik Ruck, Aaron Rathy, Jimmy LaRiche, JD Webb and Jacob Valdez will be added to the base. Team Hyperlite also split the $24,000 “winner-take-all” purse!

Hyperlite’s dominance was due in large part to the incredible all-around performance from PWT Junior Men’s Champion, Jimmy LaRiche (110 individual points), Hyperlite ended up with a total of 240 points to keep the crown in their camp.

Pro Wakeboard Team Challenge Set for Pacific Northwest

With $25,000 on the line, the 2nd Annual Malibu Pro Team Challenge offers one of the single biggest event purses in the sport of wakeboarding. This three part competition - boat pass, rail jam and double-up contest - will feature some of the top pro riders in the world riding for their prospective board manufacturers, a shot at the “winner-take-all” prize and bragging rights as the best team in wakeboarding for the next 12 months.

Riders Step Up for 4th Annual BAKES NWI

Last Saturday, July 26th featured some of the biggest; booted double ups ever witnessed in the Northwest as the 4th annual BAKES NWI competition took flight. In all, 11 riders took to the milder than normal waters of south Lake Washington at Coulon Park. Many of the competitors were familiar to the event with a few brand new faces mixed in.

This year’s event showcased the best riding ever seen for the 4th Annual Bakes NWI. Riders pulled out some insane tricks and showed that even in tough conditions, they were the best in the Northwest. Read up on the full breakdown … after the jump.



Top Athletes Prepare for BAKES NWI Wakeboard Tournament

The 2008 Bakes NWI Double Up Competition is a little over a week away and the anticipation is building. Northwest Riders Summer Tour - Coeur D’Alene, ID

Yet another leg of the 2008 Northwest Riders Summer Tour has come to a close. However, with the end of this stop…two more have been added to the list. The crew will be headed to a new location in Washington and also in Oregon.

The last Idaho stop of the season finished off with Coeur D’Alene and Hagadone Marine. We saw many new tricks attempted with a lot being landed for the first time for many riders. The sun came out in full force and summer finally showed us it was still going to stop by this year.
