Seattle Boat Show Ends Tomorrow

Posted on January 31st, 2009 by Zack | Posted in Boats, Events, General

If you have not been down to the Seattle Boat Show or the boat show in your area…go! If you are even considering a boat purchase then you should take a few minutes to visit some dealers. The boat prices are unheard of right now with the current economy.

Savings for those that can take advantage will not be this good again. Malibus, Mastercrafts, and Nautiques are selling for $20,000 to $30,000 less than retail in some cases. Make the 2009 summer a memorable one by getting out on the water with family and friends!

Buy a Boat - Save BIG

Check out the link to a boat show summary of incentives over on wakeorigin.com.

The article highlights three of the big manufacturers in the inboard boat market and what they are offering customers through their dealer networks. Malibu, Mastercraft, and Supra are all stepping it up to sell some boats and if you have the means…there couldn’t be a much better time to buy!

The Seattle Boat Show starts tomorrow and features some great options. Make 2009 count on the water…start by saving yourself some cash.

THIS IS OUR LAST CHANCE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF YOU CARE ABOUT THE CONTINUED USE OF THE WILLAMETTE RIVER FOR RECREATIONAL BOATING, YOU BETTER TAKE SOME TIME TO LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD. THIS IS A NUMBERS GAME, AND TO THIS POINT, THE PROPONENTS OF REGULATING OUR RIVER ARE THE ONLY ONES BEING HEARD. YOU MUST MAKE YOUR COMMENTS BY 9/9 IN ORDER FOR THEM TO MATTER.

ALSO YOU SHOULD MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ATTEND THE SEPTEMBER 9 MEETING IN WILSONVILLE TO DISCUSS THIS PROPOSAL. IT IS AT THE CLACKAMAS COMMUNITY COLLEGE (WILSONVILLE CAMPUS) ROOM 111-112. BE THERE BY 6 AS SEATING WILL BE LIMITED.

Please take a few minutes to email comments to the Oregon State Marine Board about their rulemaking proposals for the 17 mile stretch of the Willamette River from Newberg to Canby:

1) Eliminate 180 degree turns under power

2) Require a minimum 200’ distance when following a boat towing someone

3) Require boats within 200’ of all docks to operate at 5mphs
