2008 Tige U.S. Pro-Am Arrives in Portland June 20-22

Tige Boats presents the 2008 U.S. Pro-Am tournament being hosted by the great city of Portland, Oregon on June 20-22. The Pro Wakeboard Tour had become a staple in the Portland wakeboard scene for many years, but took an exit this season. Tige stepped up and is bringing the Pro-Am event to the area. I have spoken to many riders here in the Northwest and they are excited for this event because it offers many of them the chance to compete against some of the top in the sport.
The event will happen at Blue Lake Park just outside of Portland. Blue Lake has been the event site for the Pro Wakeboard Tour and is one of the better venues for a wake event. The water is almost always smooth, and the weather is typically great with beautiful Northwest sun and temps.
You can also head on over to WakeWorld.com and enter a contest to win a trip to the event and a chance to hang with Team Tige. Learn more and enter to win:

2008 Tige Pro-Am Wakeboarding Championships
Press Release: Tige BoatsCombining a popular wakeboarding event with a popular contest venue, the 2008 Tigé Pro-Am Wakeboarding Championships will be held June 20-22 in Portland, Oregon.
The annual Tigé event is a favorite among the world’s top pro and amateur riders and wakeskaters. Last year’s Pro-Am was held in Cancun, Mexico, drawing more than 100 competitors and nearly 2,000 spectators.
“We’re excited to be holding the Pro-Am early in the season this year,” said Kip Davis, Tigé Director of Marketing, “and we’re really pumped to bring it to Portland. This is a great community with huge wakeboarding support and has always been one of the most popular locations for a contest.”
Registration and additional information about the 2008 Tigé Pro-Am will be made available soon. Check www.tige.com for updates.

Hope to see some of the Northwest talant riding in this event. Lots of division, so you don’t have to be a pro to ride in it.

I love the Blue Lake Park venue. I hope to see all the crew from WA, OR, and the ID areas come out to this and ride.
Riders: who’s planning on coming out and repping the NW?
