On the weekend of August 16-17, 2008 the 2nd annual Malibu Pro Team Challenge took place at the Silver Lake Resort in Eatonville, Washington. Pro Teams from Hyperlite, Gator Boards, Liquid Force and Ronix competed in three events to see who would take home the Malibu Cup Trophy the $25,000 WINNER-TAKE-ALL purse and bragging rights as the best team in wakeboarding for the next 12 months.
The setting for this event – in the shadow of Mount Rainer - was spectacular and an impressive list of top pro’s participated including Danny Harf, Parks Bonifay, Chad Sharpe, JD Webb, Aaron Rathy, Jimmy LaRiche, Kevin Henshaw, Mike Ennen, Bob Soven, Adam Errington, AJ Racinelli, David Issacson and Erik Lutgert. The riders competed in a traditional boat competition, a double-up competition and a rail jam, earning points along the way for their respective teams.

The event was made possible with support from Malibu Boats, Monster Energy Drink, Indmar Marine Engines, Challenger Hardware, evo gear, Bakes Marine, Northwest Riders Clothing, the INT League and of course…all of the participating wakeboard manufacturers whose riders competed in this unique, team format.

Alliance Multi-Media captured all the action for broadcast on FUEL TV and it begins airing this week. To see how it all unfolded, be sure and watch.
