Orlando, FL Ė With only one contest remaining this season, there is still no clear-cut winner for the 2007 MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour title. Therefore, the winner of the title and the largest cash award in tour history will be decided at the fifth and final stop in Portland, Ore., on July 21-22. The top Pro Men rider for the season not only will have bragging rights, but will also be presented with the $10,000 Indmar Performance Award from Indmar Marine Engines, which is given annually to the tourís top rider.

The following four pro menís riders are vying for the cash and the title: Phillip Soven, Rusty Malinoski, Chad Sharpe and Danny Harf.

Phillip Soven, 18, paces all riders in the Indmar Performance Standings with a score of 370. Soven has captured three wins on tour this season and could earn his first tour title with a victory in Portland.

Rusty Malinoski, 23, trails just behind Soven with a score of 360. Malinoski took home a victory in Fort Worth, Texas, earlier this year and has finished in the top three all season long. The Saskatchewan native could also claim his first tour title with a win in Portland, as long as Soven finishes no better than third place due to the tiebreaking rules.

Chad Sharpe, 26, follows Malinoski in the rankings with a score of 320. Sharpe has earned podium finishes at all the previous stops this season and could also potentially capture his first tour title in Portland. A victory at the tourís final stop, and with Malinoski and Soven finishing no better than 10th place, could earn Sharpe his first overall title.

Danny Harf, 22, is the last rider eligible for the title with a score of 300. Although Harf has claimed only one podium finish this season (second place at Fort Worth), he is also the most experienced, as he captured the title last year. The 2006 champion could retain his title with a win in Portland and with Soven, Sharpe and Malinoski finishing no better than 15th place.

All four riders will take to the water at Blue Lake Park in Oregon July 21-22 for a shot at the title and the cash award. The Pro Women division season winner will also receive an Indmar Performance Award in Portland.

Emily Copeland Durham, 23, could capture the title and cash payout, as she leads the female riders in the Indmar Performance Standings. However, with scores so close among riders, it is anyoneís guess who will claim the overall victory. 2. Bryan Says:

    I concur with Chad.

    * If you are in the Northwest and are able to go watch the Pro Tour in Portland this weekend make the effort…..Go out and support our NW locals Nick, Alex, and Rob.

I know Randy Scagliotti will be leading the cheer section. He is usually in the front row.

    See you guys there.

  3. Randy Says:

  4. Bryan Says:

    Randy

Place your coffee order ! ! ! ! ! - I’ll pick something up for you…… you have to be at the top of your game this weekend to root on the riders…. we are depending on you.

  5. Chad Says:

If anyone down there has online access I’d love a rundown on how the guy’s rode…or maybe Nick will answer his cellphone and I can post it ;) Later-

  10. Mike Says:

I concur with the fact that Bryan Hutton beating nick jones could be an error. But nonetheless I’m glad I wasn’t a judge at this comp. So tough especially in the first day to score. Look at womens Heat #3 All the girls except Barrett Perlman do a mobe but Barrett is the only one with a standup run. But oh well I’m sure the Wolfe and the rest of the judges got it all right! Here’s a shot I took from the boat on day one, of our own NICK JONES!!!!!!

  11. Mike Says:

I guess the link won’t post oh well!

  12. Syd Says:

Rob. Alex. ur my favorite riders you did awesome!!!!!Good Luck! Your my heroes!!!! Luv ya!
