Hey, what’s up fellow Northwest Riders ? It’s Randy Scagliotti from the road. We’ve been really busy since the Portland Pro Tour stop. Alex has been spending most of his time in between coaching at the Elevate Wakeboard Camps near Sisters, OR, riding in Cali with the Hoffman sisters, and hitting up the NorCal contest circuit. The contest scene is strong down there and prize money is good for amateur comps.

This weekend Koppert Lake is hosting “Freeriders Ball”, a two-day Wakeboard Tournament. A number of Northwest Riders are slated to ride in this comp. Current list of riders confirmed : Mike and Nick Ennen, Mike and Nick Cardoza, Bret V, Rob Carter, Alex Scagliotti, Sam Cole, Silas Thurman, and Jared Eygabroad of Scratch Films. The competition has divisions for all riding levels with different categories for each ability. Remember, this is an all weekend event so bring your family and friends to watch the best talent from around our region compete.

Our friend Eric Sund, who is on site Koppert Lake Staff, will be showing videos on a projector screen Saturday night for entertainment, and he invites everyone to campout and enjoy the festivities.

The Pro Wakeboard Tour is making it’s final stop this weekend at Blue Lake just East of Portland. Top pros will be competing for the Pro Wakeboard Tour title. Phillip Soven, Rusty Malinoski, Chad Sharpe, and Danny Harf are all contenders for the title with the points standings so close. This is an event you do not want to miss.

Last years Portland Pro Tour stop showcased some of the best Pro Tour runs ever seen. This stop is where the top pros put everything on the line in hopes of winning the Tour Title.

Northwest natives Nick Jones, Alex Scagliotti, & Rob Carter will be riding in Portland, so come out and support our local riders.

Oregon native, Alex Scagliotti, takes 3rd place at WWA Nationals over the weekend. Nick Jones and Mike Ennen also represented the Northwest during their runs. Check out the recap submitted by Randy Scagliotti while on location at the WWA Nationals. He attends every Pro event to support his son Alex and other Northwest Riders as they compete. Thank you Randy for your dedication to the Riders and NW Wake scene.

Spencer Norris, of WIT Productions, sent over a teaser for his new video. This will be his follow up film to “The Arrival” that released earlier in the year. The teaser features some new faces and familiar Northwest Riders.

Saturday April 7 at Koppert Lake is the annual Spring Classic wake event. Northwest Riders will be on hand as well as Wakeboard Northwest snapping photos and hanging out. Supposed to be good weather so come out and enjoy the season kick off!
