There are so many aspects that make this video like no other; like Rhett Whatley’s exclusive soundtrack, two versions to choose to watch on one DVD (A Trip Version and a Riding Only Version), and all of the wild things these riders did along the way. We made this video to show what it’s like to be on a professional wakeboard trip and these riders didn’t disappoint with amazing riding and incredible adventures. Northwest Film Makers Sean Kilgus of BFY Productions (DRIVE), Jared Eygabroad of Scratch Films (GodSpeed), and Spencer Norris of WIT Productions (One Eye Shut) have all released NEW Wakeboard Videos for this 2008 Wake Season. WakeboardNorthwest.com has covered the filming process of each video over the last year. We will be posting interviews with each of the film makers, many of the riders within the videos, as well as photo galleries from our on location travels and documentary.

What we want from you, OUR READERS, is to REVIEW these Wakeboard Videos. Comment below. Chris Craig Takes a Knee

Posted on December 19th, 2007 by Zack | Posted in General, Riders

As you may or may not have already heard, Northwest staple Chris Craig recently took the “initiation” many a wakeboarder does with the first major injury of his career. He did a number on his knee that ended his season back in October. We asked Chris about the knee and where he goes from here. Have a read … after the jump.

Rob Carter Photo Gallery

Rob Carter is arguably one of the most stylish riders to be grown out of the Northwest. He is also one of the most under recognized riders by the rest of the wake industry media outlets. Throughout the summer Carter has been busy filming with Jared Eygabroad of Scratch Films and Spencer Norris of WIT Productions. You’ll be impressed by his riding when you watch his sections in both films set to release in late December and Spring ‘08.

This Central Oregon native deserves more support across the board from the other media outlets and sponsors. I know we will continue to lobby for it.

Check out Rob Carter’s photo gallery from a recent filming trip with WIT Productions after the jump.

AWS Fall Classic Wakeboard Tournament This Sunday

Even though the weather has been taking a turn as of late and feels like winter already there is still wakeboarding going on here in the Northwest. If you don’t have plans this weekend you should make the trip to Koppert Lake for the AWS Fall Classic Wakeboard Tournament this Sunday. Riders from around area are planning to attend and ride in what is the “last” wakeboard comp of the season.

Saturday I know Slingshot will be at Koppert Lake so venture down there to demo their new gear. The on lake pro-shop has other industry brands to demo including Liquid Force.

The Fall Classic flyer and all the event details you need to know are posted after the jump.

Scratch Films Shoots for “Godspeed” in Idaho

Posted on September 13th, 2007 by Zack | Posted in General, Media, Riders

Another summer is coming to an end. The water is getting a little colder and the days are becoming shorter. For most, this is a time of sadness. For others, it may mean a great snow season is to come. I hope with however you feel, you feel a sense of accomplishment, have little disappointment, and are leaving this summer with some really great memories. This summer for me was filled full of great times, good people, and memories that will last a lifetime. As usual the annual trip out to Idaho is always my favorite and I know everyone there was excited to end the last month of summer with a bang.
